Wasted Votes

Rick Wagner's editorial, in the Sep 30 issue of the Grand Junction Sentinel in Colorado, is typical of those who blindly support the shrinking republican party. I have heard it often whenever the issue of voting comes up. The former party of small government, former because they don't even talk the talk anymore, chases all voices of reason away and then denounces those who vote for other party candidates.

It is all our fault, they say, for voting for the good man instead of the party chosen ones. Never mind that the actions of the republicans are the real cause for so much voter anger and disgust. I seem to remember that it was a contract made with America, to reduce the size and power of the federal government, that swept the Republicans into power to begin with not so many years ago. And what did the republicans do once they attained power? They became big government democrats and turned their leader over to the lions.

Now they are scared silly as they see the majority of people leaving and voting for other party candidates. And instead of looking in the mirror at their own misdeeds and stupidity, they cast blame and try to scare us with this mindless drivel about how we are "wasting our vote" or "causing Clinton to be elected" when we vote 3rd parties. No Rick, YOU and YOUR PARTY are to blame for both Clinton AND Obama.

You tore up the contract made with us that got you power. You started a war on drugs/rights that has resulted in mass gang activity and violence. Not to mention the countless lives destroyed by the police state, created to combat God's plants for the sake of corporate profits. We read your lips, and still got taxed higher.
You instituted the most unpatriotic act ever. You shrugged off torture and war as necessary evils, starting a war on a word that has such a wide definition as could be used to persecute anyone and anything in the name of terror. And yet you did nothing to stop the real terror emanating from within in the form of the dept of education, the IRS, and federal reserve private bank controlled money manipulation.
You let millions of criminals stream across our borders. You tapped our phones and surveiled our lives. You robbed us blind in the name of bailing out your wall street and bankster buddies. You did all this. YOU are to blame.

Your vote for the lesser of two evils is to blame. Talk about wasting your vote...

Usury is...

Usury is...
In law, the crime of charging an unlawfully high rate of interest. In Old English law, the taking of any compensation whatsoever was termed usury.

Random House - "3. Obsolete. interest paid for the use of money."

American Heritage - "3. Archaic. Interest charged or paid on a loan."

Mirriam Webster Dictionary of Law - "1 : the lending of money at exorbitant interest rates; specifically : the crime of charging or contracting to charge an unlawfully high rate of interest. 2 : a rate or amount of interest charged in usury"

Easton's 1897 Bible Dictionary - "the sum paid for the use of money, hence interest; not, as in the modern sense, exorbitant interest. The Jews were forbidden to exact usury (Lev. 25:36, 37), only, however, in their dealings with each other (Deut. 23:19, 20). The violation of this law was viewed as a great crime (Ps. 15:5; Prov. 28:8; Jer. 15:10)."

Roget's 21stC Thesaurus - "Usury - Synonyms: exploitation, stealing"

Exodus 20:1-3,22-23,17
1 And God spoke all these words: 2 "I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery.
3 "You shall have no other gods before me.

22 Then the LORD said to Moses, "Tell the Israelites this: 'You have seen for yourselves that I have spoken to you from heaven: 23 Do not make any gods to be alongside me; do not make for yourselves gods of silver or gods of gold.

17 "You shall not covet your neighbor's house. You shall not covet your neighbor's wife, or his manservant or maidservant, his ox or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor."

Habakkuk 2:5-7
5 indeed, wine betrays him; he is arrogant and never at rest. Because he is as greedy as the grave and like death is never satisfied, he gathers to himself all the nations and takes captive all the peoples.
6 "Will not all of them taunt him with ridicule and scorn, saying, 'Woe to him who piles up stolen goods and makes himself wealthy by extortion! How long must this go on?'

7 Will not your debtors suddenly arise? Will they not wake up and make you tremble? Then you will become their victim.

Exodus 20:16,15
16 "You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor.

15 "You shall not steal.

Nehemiah 5:10-11
10 I and my brothers and my men are also lending the people money and grain. But let the exacting of usury stop! 11 Give back to them immediately their fields, vineyards, olive groves and houses, and also the usury you are charging them—the hundredth part of the money, grain, new wine and oil."

The power of faith

I was looking for a subject to write here today when, as often happens, one came to me from another. My dear friend Janette posted at Friends of MikeyHuggs a wonderful piece about her life, beliefs, and positive thoughts and their effects on our lives.
I was moved to comment and will now share my comment here:

Qoute from J:"I’ve learned this in the last couple of years through The Law of Attraction and The Secret that my mere way of thinking weather positive or negative actually makes things happen and ultimately influences and alters the outcome. Our destiny lies within the power of our thoughts and that I know is true."

Yes indeed. It is all too easy to get trapped in negative thought which then manifests itself in our lives. Fear things and fearful things shall follow you; envy things you don't have and you shall not have them; judge others and you shall be judged likewise. Inversely, fear not and you shall have peace; give and you shall be given; love and love will find you.

This is the heart of the not so secret teachings of the father creator, through his word become flesh in the person of Jesus. Over and over he taught and demonstrated this most crucial lesson. By faith we can heal, by faith we can literally move mountains and part seas, by faith we are saved from death and born again unto true freedom eternally.

The power is all in our faith. We must also speak our faith aloud, for the spoken word is the key that starts the engine. The Father created the universe and all that is in it through the word. He SPOKE, saying "let there be light", and it was so. We have access to that same power. Daily I say out loud, "let there be love and abundance and joy in my life" and, when my faith is strong, it becomes so.

Keeping the faith and truly believing is the worthwhile task for us all whom are called to the spirit. For those of the world, those who would control us, they know this also and work tirelessy to condition us to be fearful, to feel small and alone, helpless, and silent.

Yet we are not of this world, which is but a temporary abode. We are not alone, we are one in spirit and consciousness with the father who IS love. When we answer the call and awaken in the spirit, and speak with power, then we look forward with faith and hope and great joy to the promise of infinite possibilities and eternal love.

All things in thanks to our Father Love by whom all good things were created for us. Peace be with you - Mikey

Tea please...

Tweeet.... Nope, I didn't just send a twit on twitter. That was my tea kettle. I am drinking tea tonight. I figure why not, the national tea party I just witnessed has me in the mood for some chamomille.
I think back to the days of Ben and George and Thomas and the original tea party. I am guessing they are, like me, shaking their heads, in their graves. Since when do we the people beg our civil servants for mercy? We are their masters, we tell them what to do.
How many people were out there with signs and megaphones and tea bags on them protesting, crying, whining, "Please listen to us masters, please stop stealing our money, grrr... shaking our national fist at you mean old meany rulers..." Oh... My... God.
Makes me sick at heart. I see it every day, all the way down to the local level. Civil servant tyranny and theft. "Oh, no, you can't do that, it's against city ordinance 28649bbpartcesectionz3, it offends our view... unless of course you give us a cut...er... buy a permit...". Pffft!
Permission for this, permission for that, permit, permit, permit... what a racket. The mafia was never so bad. And yet, we all just go along with it daily, no, we beg for it.
Since when I ask? Since when do we have this mindset? Are we not free men by God's own words? Are we doomed to follow in the Israelite of old's footsteps, free from the pharoa, only to throw ourselves willingly back into slavery under our own Solomons? It appears we already have...
How much energy was spent protesting? What was the result of that expenditure of energy? Those crooks in Washington and their money changers just stole trillions from us. TRILLIONS.....From YOU.
The lesson of the Boston tea party was that these men took action. There was no protesting. They didn't beg the robber king. They certainly didn't beg for a king on a daily basis. Nope, they followed Jesus' example when he confronted the moneychangers. Overturned the tables(cargo) and tossed them out of the temple(harbor).
What would these men do today? My guess is they wouldn't be holding a tea party...
